Bio: Razma-Taz, or just Taz to his pals, is a friendly, energetic young dog who came to the shelter as a stray. At around a year old, Taz is still very much a puppy and would love to find a home with an active family who will provide him with structure and training. Shepherds are smart, active dogs and they need a job to do and positive outlets for their energy!

Taz spent a short stay in a foster home- here’s what his foster said:

"Taz is house trained once he’s comfortable in a new environment. He is super energetic, super loving, super caring, bonds deeply with his people, and is very easily trainable. He loves other dogs, loves to cuddle, and listens well. He has been learning how to play without getting mouthy (which he does only in a playful way). Taz loves bones and ropes to play with. He also likes checking himself out in the mirror."

During another short home stay, Taz was described as playful and affectionate. He loved toys and being close to his people. Taz is not a couch potato- he’s an enthusiastic adventure buddy ready to take on each and every day with gusto!! Here’s what Taz’s friends at the shelter have said:

“This handsome stunning boy is very smart and active. He'd like an active home where he can explore and go out on adventures with his person. He does need some training and guidance but is very food and treat motivated and strives to please. With ample activity he is very easy going, affectionate, and ready to please.”

“Razma-Taz is animated in his kennel, but once out he turns into a cupcake. Once in a play yard, he becomes rather lovey-dovey. He wants treats and all the attention I can lavish on him. He is responsive to me and seems very intelligent. I believe Razma-Taz has an enormous amount of potential.”

“Taz is one of my favorites and one of the first dogs I get out in the mornings. He calms down quickly once out on his walk and he walks well. He’s a good boy and is often overlooked because he can be jumpy in the kennel.”

“Taz is full of puppy energy and enthusiasm, which makes him one of my favorite dogs. We generally head out towards the wash so he can exercise all his senses, and he quickly accepts his mission of identifying the most interesting smells along the way. Our walks are full of joy as I watch him discover new environments and take on new adventures. He checks in regularly with good eye contact (and a huge grin), is treat motivated, and has a solid sit and a gentle mouth. He has good engagement and is becoming much more responsive to verbal and visual cues.. Taz is intelligent, curious, energetic, athletic, and eager to please. With good engagement and treat motivation, he will quickly learn the basics with consistent training. He will blossom into a fine adventure companion for a partner who can give him plenty of exercise and attention.”

Taz shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Taz today!!
