Age: I am an adult animal
More Info: I am available for adoption now!
?Currently located in South Korea?? ??Available to fly to U.S. and Canada?? ?? Name: Chanran ?? Gender: Male ?? Age: Estimated 2 years old (Born in July 2024) ?? Weight: 6.8 kg / 14.99 lb ?? Chanran's News Account: @chanran.ie 1?? Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, heartworm negative. * Recently diagnosed with mild skin allergies after showing itchiness. Has shown great improvement with a hypoallergenic diet, snack restrictions, and prescribed medication, and is currently doing well under ongoing monitoring. 2?? Rescue Story * Chanran was previously staying at the Gimje City Shelter. Facing extremely harsh shelter conditions and suffocating summer heatwaves, Adogs stepped in urgently to rescue Chanran and bring him to safety. 3?? Basic Information * With People: Greets strangers warmly and loves pushing his face into familiar humans for pets, standing still happily. When his foster parent is working, he peacefully slumbers nearby. Thanks to his sweet and gentle nature, he gets along wonderfully with children as well. * With Dogs: Shows positive interest in dog friends he meets on walks, greeting them with gentle sniffs. Even if other dogs bark at him, he never barks back. * With Cats: Showed no particular reaction when briefly encountering a cat. * Separation Anxiety: When his human leaves, he may bark or howl for about 1 minute before settling down on the entryway floor to sleep. May briefly bark or growl if he hears loud noises outside the front door. * Potty Training: Strongly prefers outdoor pottying during his 2 daily walks. Previously had occasional indoor accidents during highly nervous situations. Sometimes lifts his leg when peeing, so wall-mounted protection pads have been placed to keep the area clean. Consistent training has been successful and he currently refrains from indoor pottying completely. * Hygiene: Handles brushing and nail trims very well. While he doesn't particularly enjoy baths, he stays still without resisting. Handles blow-drying well, though he isn't a fan of towel drying. * Walks: Used to show a moment of nervousness in front of the house before setting off, but he doesn't feel nervous anymore. Initially pulled on the leash, but has improved significantly. Can get slightly excited at the start of walks, but taking brief pauses and walking at a calm pace helps him settle down and walk wonderfully. * Car Sickness: Has slight car sickness. Riding with the window open keeps him comfortable, though he has vomited before when traveling with windows fully closed. * Shows NO aggressive biting. If touched while excited playing with a toy, he may block it to guard it. On one occasion after a long absence, when redirected while trying to chase his tail out of excitement, his mouth lightly brushed his foster parent's hand—not out of aggression, but a reflexive open-and-close mouth movement out of surprise. * May occasionally growl or bark at the TV. Howls for about a minute when left alone and may bark in response to outside noises while home alone. * Is extremely gentle, affectionate, and loving. Loves humans, dog companions, and outdoor exploration. While he can get a bit excited during walks or snack time, he is an absolute sweetheart who adjusts quickly to home noises like TV, vacuum, and washing machine. Even when doing things he dislikes, such as toothbrushing, he accepts it without resistance as long as he is held gently.
