I am a neutered male, brown and white American Bulldog.
Age: I am a bit older but have lots of love to give
More Info: I am available for adoption now!
Meet Huey! Huey arrived to the Haven dangerously underweight, with severe dental disease, chronic dermatitis, and infections in both ears. He is feeling much better now! With his dental situation resolved, it no longer hurts to eat, and he is steadily working on gaining weight to turn him into the chunky, solid little tank with a wrinkly face and round belly that an English Bulldog is meant to be. Huey is an easy and charming companion to share a life with. He is good on the leash and in the car. He is fine being left home alone uncrated and generally sleeps through the night. He is generally chill and quiet. He's a Velcro dog. who doesn't demand constant attention and is happy just to lay near his favorite person. He hopes his new home has a human around a fair amount and lots of butt scratches. He's also happy to flop on his back in the bushes to get a good scratching in on his own. He's happy to share his life, and even his bed, with another calm dog. Huey benefits from wearing a belly band indoors, to avoid marking. Due to his shape, he is not well designed for full flights of stairs or climbing up/down the couch on his own. He prefers carpets to hard floor, as it gives him a little better traction. He is a very gentle dog. If you throw a ball, he will happily chase it. But returning it is below his pay grade, so you're on your own. Huey is approx 10 years old and 38 lbs. Fostered in Gaithersburg, MD. Please apply at mirishaven.org.
