A little shy at first, she opens up with patience, gentle encouragement, and plenty of tasty treats.
Once she starts to feel comfortable, she shows her sweet, affectionate side and even believes she might just be your perfect little lap dog.
She enjoys exploring at her own pace and looks to her person for reassurance along the way.
Busy or noisy environments can feel overwhelming right now, but with kindness and time, her confidence continues to grow. Emerald Jade is looking for someone who understands that trust isn’t instant—it’s built, one gentle moment at a time.
Medical & Care Notes: Emerald Jade will have surgery for cherry eye at the time of spay, and she will go home with post-op care (including a protective collar and ointment). Mild complications are covered by the clinic for a limited time, and follow-up care must be provided through the same clinic. She is also on anti-anxiety medication.
Behavior Notes: She has been part of a shy dog program and can be fearful with handling, especially in medical settings.
In a home, she may take time to adjust and could show different behavior than in the shelter.
