Lady is a young spayed Australian Cattle Dog mix who recently watched her sister get adopted and is now wondering when it's going to be her turn. At just 36 pounds, she's the perfect compact size—small enough to fit almost anywhere, but with plenty of personality packed into the package. Lady can be a little shy when meeting new people and new situations, but she tries very hard to be brave. The noisy shelter environment isn't really her style, and she'd much rather spend her time somewhere quiet with someone she trusts. Once she gets comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She'll happily come over for attention, lean in for pets, and offer gentle little kisses that are guaranteed to melt hearts.
Like many young cattle dogs, Lady has her moments of enthusiasm. She enjoys a few minutes of zoomies to get the wiggles out, then quickly remembers that lounging in the shade is actually a pretty great life choice. Why run a marathon when you can relax with your favorite person? Lady is easy to leash, easy to handle, and pleasant to walk. She seems friendly with other dogs at the fence, although barky, over-the-top dogs can make her a little nervous. The shelter recommends a meet and greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone is a good match.
If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive sidekick with excellent zoomie-to-nap balance, Lady may be the perfect match.
