Meet Pinky – The Shy Little Cow Who Forgot She's a Dog!
Have you ever wished for a pocket-sized cow that gives kisses instead of milk? Well, here I am! My adorable black-and-white markings have everyone doing a double take, and I'm pretty sure I was supposed to be grazing in a pasture instead of hanging out at the shelter.
I'm a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who's currently in the shelter's Shy Dog Program, and I'm making great progress every day! New people can still make me a little nervous at first, but give me a little patience and you'll quickly discover a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people. In fact, the moment you sit down, I'll come trotting right over to collect pets and attention—it's kind of my specialty.
I may already be housetrained because I always take care of business as soon as I get outside. Once that's done, it's time for the important stuff...victory zoomies! I know "sit," take treats very gently, and while I'm a little picky about which treats earn my approval, I like to think it just means I have refined taste. I'm excited to get out and can pull pretty hard on leash, but put me in a harness and I transform into a wonderful walking companion, happily strolling right by your side. When I meet other dogs through the fence, I show friendly interest and even offer adorable play bows, so I may enjoy having a canine friend. A meet and greet is recommended to make sure we're a perfect match.
