WILMA: AFFECTIONATE, CURIOUS & READY TO BE YOUR SIDEKICK
Wilma is a friendly, affectionate German Shepherd mix with a big personality and a keen interest in everything happening around her. She's a confident girl who likes to explore, keep tabs on her surroundings, and—most importantly—connect with her people. She enjoys attention and affection and has a charming way of making it clear that pets are always welcome. When her human sat down, Wilma wasted no time placing her paws in a lap and handing out kisses. She clearly believes affection is an important part of every interaction.
On her recent Doggy Day Out, Wilma showed just how good a time she can have outside the shelter. She greeted familiar people and strangers alike with a wagging tail and happily accepted their pets. She enjoyed sniffing and exploring Tiguex Park and Old Town, walked easily on leash with very little pulling, and settled nicely on a shady coffee shop patio. At home, she explored for a while before relaxing on the cool floor for a good nap.
Wilma is also an observant girl who notices other dogs. She may be interested in keeping an eye on them, but during her outing she was easy to handle and passed several dogs well when given a little space. A meet-and-greet with resident dogs is recommended.
Smart, social, affectionate and curious, Wilma would love a home where she can be part of her person's everyday life. She's ready to leave shelter supervision behind and take on a much more enjoyable job: being someone's loyal companion.
