WILMA: PART-TIME KISS GIVER, FULL-TIME SUPERVISOR
Wilma is the kind of dog who likes to know exactly what's going on at all times. Yard inspection? Completed. Sniffing every corner? Completed. Monitoring staff activities? Also completed.
She is easy to leash and immediately takes care of business outside, which may mean she's already familiar with the whole "bathroom belongs outdoors" concept. After a thorough patrol of the play yard, Wilma showed off her "sit" command and then reminded us that treat-taking manners are still a work in progress. (Let's just say she believes snacks should arrive faster.)
When her human sat down, Wilma wasted no time placing her paws in a lap and handing out kisses. She clearly believes affection is an important part of every interaction.
Wilma enjoys her walks but can be strong on leash when something catches her attention. During one outing, a chewed-up leash unexpectedly broke, and Wilma immediately trotted over to a staff member to say hello rather than taking off on a grand adventure. That's right—when given an opportunity for freedom, she chose customer service.
She has shown mixed reactions around other dogs and may display some barrier frustration, so a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is recommended. Outside of barriers, she has shown she can be much more relaxed around canine neighbors.
