Description: I am a neutered male, black and white Siberian Husky.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 6 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 25, 2026.
Meet Okami (pronounced oh-kah-me)
Okami lives up to his Japanese name sake as it symbolizes courage, loyalty, strength and guardianship! Though he's not a 'wolf' and does not have any of the wolf tendency's he does have a great spirit which we love about him. Okami is a year and a half and is going through the adolescence stage in life. He will need some help with the basics such as crate training and basic manners. He's extremely eager to learn and when he looks up at you with those two different colored eyes you will instantly fall in love! Okami doesn't share well with other dogs so he will have to be the only dog in the home but he can enjoy playdates with other dogs with proper monitoring. He enjoys all activities like hiking or neighborhood walks and car rides. He's friendly with all people - greeting them exuberantly. If he sounds like the dog you have been waiting for then please come to our Boston location meet him - he's not a fan of the shelter so the sooner you get here the sooner he can be free to add some excitement to your home!
My friends describe me as: Adventurous, playful and affectionate
Okami is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.
We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
