Meet Righty!
Righty is a handsome, ten-week-old tuxedo kitten who can be found at our Brewster location. He is a wobbly kitten and has been diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia. Cats with cerebellar hypoplasia are wobbly because their cerebellum (the part of the brain primarily responsible for balance) is not fully formed. Righty will require his adopter to monitor his limitations to ensure he does not get injured due to clumsiness. Extra care will also be necessary in selecting and placing a litter box, food dish, and water bowl in the house. We recommend following up with his new veterinarian to continue to monitor and determine if additional therapy is warranted in the future.
That being said, cats with cerebellar hyopoplasia can live full, happy lives. Righty is an energetic, loving, and playful little guy who is very vocal and enjoys being held and given scritches. He will need a family who understands his limitations and will keep him safe, while also providing him with love and kindness. Don't worry -- you will receive tenfold the amount of love in return!!!
Righty is currently up to date on vaccinations and flea and tick preventative, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and examined by our vet team.
We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays.
