Description: I am a spayed female, gray and white Domestic Shorthair.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 10, 2026.
MEET STARLIGHT!
Starlight is a friendly former stray who has had some challenges but come through them. She spent some time in one of our foster homes where she reportedly slept with her foster parents and generally wanted to be near them. They said "she is really the sweetest girl and we loved having her!"
During her vet exam, Starlight tested positive for feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). FIP is a serious disease associated with feline coronavirus infection, a disease once considered almost invariably fatal. With a recent groundbreaking medication development, FIP is now treatable and often curable. Published treatment success with the new medication often exceeds 90%. Since completing treatment, Starlight's clinical symptoms and bloodwork abnormalities associated with FIP have resolved. At this time, treatment completion cannot guarantee that the disease will not recur, though it is unlikely. FIP is not transmissible between cats.
Starlight is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.
We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
