Bio: The root of the yucca plant, also known as cassava, offers significant health benefits, including supporting gut health, boosting immunity with vitamin C, and improving heart health. Sounds like a wonder food to us! If you’d like to meet a wonder dog, let us introduce you to our very own Yucca! Her volunteer friends sure reap the benefits from hanging out with her! Here’s what a few have said:
“Yucca is a friendly, social little nugget. She will look up at you adoringly with her big doe eyes and will happily wag her tail for the entire walk. Good luck not giving her all your treats. This girl is as sweet as they come. When I first met her, she did not want to walk far away from the shelter, but she's come so far in just a week or two. Today, she was trotting alongside me in the park without a care in the world! I'm so proud of her progress.”
“Oh my, Yucca is sweet as pie! She was initially quite nervous to exit the shelter, so we went to a nearby play yard rather than the park. She promptly sat on my feet and looked up at me with her big, gentle eyes as if imploring me to pet her. She is a sponge for affection and clearly finds comfort in being close. After some cuddling, she eventually moseyed around the yard to sniff a few things and then returned to my side.”
“Yucca was a bit shy in the kennel but it didn’t take long for her to open up. After a few minutes in a yard, she was on my lap! She was giving many gentle hugs and kisses. She’s such a sweetheart!”
Yucca shares her kennel politely with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. If you’re looking for a pup to spoil, Yucca is ready to fill that spot! Come meet her today!
