I am a female, green and yellow Budgerigar.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Oct 04, 2026.
Jewel is a sweet little budgie looking for a flock and a family to call her own.
Based on what we’ve learned about her so far, we believe Jewel had a good amount of human interaction in her previous home. She is very comfortable with staff reaching into her cage to top up her breakfast or add new toys, and she happily spends her days foraging, exploring, and swinging away.
As we’re still new friends, Jewel isn’t quite ready to step up just yet. However, once she’s settled into a loving home, we suspect she’ll slowly build trust with her new family and become quite social with humans in her own time.
Ideally, Jewel would be adopted into a home that already has one or two budgies for her to bond with. If that isn’t possible, we recommend that her new family find her a suitable cage mate in the near future. Budgies are social little birds, and having a feathered friend will not only help Jewel feel happy and secure, but most importantly, she will feel at home.
