“Homer is a glorious adult orange tabby with the confidence of a lion and the appetite of… well, also a lion. At a robust 16 lbs. 8 oz., he’s working on trimming down just a smidge, so he’ll need a weight-management diet and someone who can resist his Oscar-worthy “I’m starving” performances.
He LOVES people. If he could file adoption papers for you, he would. Other cats, however, are not on his list of favorite things. Dogs? Surprisingly acceptable. But truly, Homer dreams of being the only feline monarch of his home.
He’s affectionate, loyal, and full of charm—but he will absolutely file a formal complaint about going to the vet. He also needs a few days to settle into new surroundings, so a patient adopter who understands that “slow and steady” is his preferred onboarding process will help him shine.
Once he feels safe, Homer transforms into a total sweetheart who wants nothing more than to hang out with his humans. He’d do best in a home with school-age kids or older—tiny humans are a bit too unpredictable.
