Meet Chance We chose the name Chance because this sweet boy deserves exactly that—a second chance at life. Chance was found on the brink of death and weighed only 24 pounds when he arrived at the shelter. Whatever happened to him was devastating, but thankfully, it did not define him. Chance has held onto something incredibly special through it all: his ability to love life and the people around him. Chance is a Boxer mix with an infectious personality and an enthusiasm that is impossible not to smile about. When he wags his little stumpy tail, his entire body wags right along with it. Recently, Chance had the opportunity to go on a pack walk with volunteers, and he absolutely loved it. He was excited by everything around him, especially the pond. He didn’t get the chance to take a swim that day, but he made it very clear that he thought he should! After burning off some of his initial excitement, Chance settled right in. He relaxed, matched the pace of his walker, and happily followed along with the other dogs. It was wonderful to see him simply enjoying being a dog. Chance is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and full of joy. He has been through more than any dog should have to endure, yet he still greets life with enthusiasm and a wagging body. If you’re looking for a companion who will bring energy, happiness, laughter, and unconditional love into your life, Chance may be the second chance you’ve both been waiting for. Chance survived the worst. Now he deserves the very best.
