This lovely 6-year-old spayed Collie mix is searching for a patient and understanding home that appreciates the intelligence and sensitivity of her breed. She knows several verbal cues, including sit, down, and shake a paw, and enjoys treats while taking them gently. She is best suited for an experienced dog owner with strong breed knowledge who can provide a calm, quiet environment combined with an active and structured daily routine. Due to her insecure, fearful, and anxious tendencies, as well as her tendency to jump up when excited, an adult-only home is recommended, and any potential interactions with children should be carefully considered. She enjoys companionship and would benefit from daily leash walks, ongoing enrichment, and a predictable routine to help build her confidence. A securely fenced backyard is required, and she is not a candidate for off-leash parks, as she will need continued work on recall while building trust and a bond with her new family. Her adopters should be prepared to implement a structured feeding program that includes interactive feeders or toys, hand feeding, and trade-up exercises. Regular brushing will be necessary to maintain her coat and grooming needs. To help her thrive, enrollment in a basic manners class and/or private behaviour training is required.
