Antje (pronounced Aunt-ya) is a smaller-sized female shepherd with a sweet temperament - although she's starting to show her spunky side as she gets more comfortable outside of the shelter. Here’s what we know about Antje so far; more notes to come.
• Good on leash, minimal pulling.
• Affectionate and likes to be pet.
• Very food motivated. She is currently about 55lbs and should be 60-65lbs at a healthy weight.
• Sweet as can be. Her silly and goofy side is coming out as she spends more time outside of the shelter.
• Doing well with calmer male dogs in foster home. Doesn't yet seem to like playful dogs up in her face. More notes to come on her preferred dog companions.
• Seems cat friendly. Mostly ignores cats in foster home.
• Loves to play fetch.
• Great in the car - likes to stick her head out the window.
• Good in crate and is also non-destructive outside of the crate.
• Potty trained, no accidents.
• She has been receiving medical treatment for a skin condition that caused her to lose hair on her back half. Her hair is growing in nicely.
