Scooby is an easy-going, affectionate, gentle soul. He has a sweet and calm temperament with an occasional fun and playful side once he feels safe. He is adorable with his cute black eye patches and perfect smaller size.
He is easy to walk on a leash and walks at a steady pace with no pulling. He doesn’t need long walks, but is willing to continue for as long as you are. He doesn’t have an interest in chasing squirrels and is not reactive when passing other dogs or people.
He has not yet been around cats, but does well around other dogs, big and small. Slow intros to other animals is always encouraged. No resource guarding of food or toys have been witnessed. No jumping on people or furniture.
Scooby takes treats politely and loves to eat. He does not beg for human food and does not counter surf looking for food. He is respectful of things in the home and even plays nicely with his toys. No separation anxiety.
He is potty trained, but can have an occasional accident if not taken outside regularly. He is a quick learner and eager to please so continuous training once he gets into a steady routine should be very manageable.
He rides well in the car and mostly just lays down to relax. He is very quiet and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night. He loves kids and all people and is just an overall amazing dog.
Scooby would love to be a part of a loving family that will show him all the love and affection he deserves.
