Sweet, low-key, and surprisingly easy to live with — she's the kind of dog who just fits into your life.

Personality Sweet and loving, calm, and intelligent. She comes from a neglectful household, so she takes a little time to adjust to new surroundings and can be reserved when you first meet her — but she warms up quickly and shows her true affectionate self once she feels safe.

At home Fully house trained with no shedding. She is not crate trained, and does not currently do well in a crate. She loves to be near you — not in your face, just close. She's smart enough to understand and respect boundaries (she knows she's not allowed on the bed and honors it).

She has separation anxiety and will do best in a home willing to work on this with her. She has been destructive/loud when left alone for longer periods.

Outside of home Easy and enjoyable on walks, and she genuinely loves being outside — rolling around in the grass is a favorite.

Good with: Dogs and Children. (Limited interactions with cats because she is set to be spayed soon but has shown positive calm reactions so far)

Health She is heartworm positive has received her first dose of Advantage Multi. She will need a month of doxycycline treatment next, which will require a strict rest schedule — fortunately, she is naturally calm and relaxed, making this an easy ask for a dog like her. Unsure if further treatment will be needed.

Ideal forever home Loki would do best in a home with a fenced backyard rather than an apartment. She needs a patient adopter who will work with her on her separation anxiety — someone who can be consistently present while she builds confidence being alone. Familiarity with heartworm treatment and its rest requirements is a plus. Most of all, she needs someone who will truly invest in her. She is a really special dog and deserves nothing less.
