Kano is a really fun, playful, affectionate dog who would do well with someone looking for an active companion that also likes to cuddle and settle down afterward.
If you’re seeking a loving, trainable, and incredibly cuddly companion, Kano could be the perfect fit.
Personality / general vibe:
- Kano is a playful, active, affectionate boy.
- He’s incredibly sweet and happy, and he loves being around people and really likes attention.
- He seems to think he’s a lap dog and will absolutely climb onto your lap if you let him!
- This affectionate boy loves giving endless hugs and kisses.
- He enjoys running, sniffing, and exploring, so he seems like a great fit for someone who likes walks and giving their dog things to do!
- He walks well on leash and has done great on outings with other dogs — slow intros always recommended.
- Once he gets his energy out, he does settle down nicely and has been napping on the couch, in his crate, and in your bed if you let him!
- He’s great in the car and has the best ears and a bright smile.

- Loves fetch.
- Loves tug.
- Very curious about his surroundings.
- Really enjoys sniffing and exploring.
- Loves toys!
Home behavior:
- Potty trained in the apartment with regular potty breaks.
- Crates well.
- No crying or destructive behavior observed in the crate.
- Has been easy to live with overall once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy.
- Seems house-trained and settles beautifully after activity.
Training:
- Knows sit.
- He’s already getting the hang of sit / wait / “go” during feeding times.
- He is still working on leash manners, since he can get excited and pull, but he’s fun to work with and seems eager to engage.
- Very food-motivated. Should make training a breeze!
- Still learning how to take treats gently, so give with an open palm or toss.
Handling / grooming:
- Did well during bath time (tried to escape at first, but accepted his fate pretty quickly!).
- Was scared of the blow dryer, so he was towel-dried and allowed to air dry.
- Lets you wipe his paws and rear after being outside without giving a hard time.
