Willie Mae is a BEAUTIFUL, sweet, intelligent shadow dog. She wants to be by her person’s side, quietly and respectfully, no matter how much activity (or couch surfing), you just did. If you’re looking for a quiet, chilled out companion who will look into your eyes and just be with you, she’s the one. She even greets strangers with a gentle nose nudge.
* Potty trained * Crate trained *Trains easily *Non-destructive *Total lovebug
- Willie Mae is an athletic companion that will walk / hike / jog for miles easily on leash, but then just chill in the house, too.
· 100% non-destructive in the home.
· Will play for 5-10 minutes and she’s over it.
· Doesn’t care about fetching and will self-entertain with toys in an introverted way.
· Occasional brief zoomies (so cute, BTW), nothing gets broken.
So much fun to train!
· Treat motivated!!
· She knows sit, stay, come, heal, leave it after just 3 weeks in foster care. She’s progressing on these in the outside world nicely.
· She will wait patiently while you put her food bowl down.
- Whatever boundaries you set, she respects!
· Works hard to understand expectations and is remarkably easy to correct - doesn’t need a heavy hand.
· She counter-surfed once, hasn’t done it since.
· She’s no longer jumpy- now a gentle greeter. She stays out of the kitchen without fuss.
She has been in the house uncrated for up to 4 hours, without issues. She doesn’t even bark when we come home, greeting us at the door with tail wagging and all smiles! She sleeps soundly through the night.
BONUS POI---she has very short hair and basically doesn’t shed hardly at all. This has been fantastic for a foster with dog allergies. Cuts down cleaning time too! Easy to bathe!
She’s had positive fence interactions at doggy daycare, and on parallel walks. Slow introductions are always recommended.
Currently recommending a single dog, no cat, home and if children are present, over 12 years old are ok.
