Meet Dakota: Part Pit Bull, Part Potato
Dakota is a 4-year-old, 60-pound sweetheart who may actually be a baked potato disguised as a dog.
If you're looking for a hiking partner, marathon training buddy, never-ending games of fetch, or canine athlete, Dakota is probably not your girl. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate, low-maintenance best friend who enjoys naps, snuggles, and simply hanging out with her people, Dakota might be perfect.
Her favorite activities include:
• Napping
• Taking longer naps
• Supervising humans
• Looking out the window
• Snuggling
• Quietly being adorable
Dakota has been an exceptional houseguest. She is quiet, gentle, well-mannered, and not at all demanding. She is not a big barker, she is not destructive, and she is perfectly content to relax nearby while you go about your day. She also barely sheds.
She rides beautifully in the car, walks decently on a leash, knows "sit," appears to know "wait," has shown no signs of aggression, and seems to be housebroken. She enjoys meeting new people and handles unfamiliar situations with calm curiosity (even when contractors come in the house and make a ton of noise!).
Dakota is not the type of dog who constantly demands attention or covers you with kisses. She loves affection, but she is equally happy to simply curl up beside you and enjoy your company.
Her one quirky trait? Dakota is not a fan of going into her crate and prefers that someone help her get inside. Once she's in, however, she settles down without any issues.
With her sweet personality, easy-going nature, and low-maintenance lifestyle, Dakota would be a wonderful addition to almost any family looking for a loving and easy companion. If your ideal dog is more "cozy couch buddy" than "extreme sports enthusiast," Dakota is ready to meet you.
