Weight: 35 pounds
More Info: I was picked up in Charlotte.
I have been at the shelter since May 24, 2026.
I am available for adoption.

Once you meet her, Marcie will definitely be on your mind...
These days it's rare to meet a pretty, non demanding, low drama dog.
Marcie is a petite medium sized girl... only 17" at the shoulder, and a near
perfect 32#. Her gorgeous gold body color blends with a black muzzle and black
trimmed ears, with tiny sculpted black eye markers.
Marcie is low energy at the moment, and walks well on leash. She is a
dog that you can pick up and carry if needed. She has a very quiet demeanor,
and rarely has made a sound while she strolls around the house and yard.
She does have a unique yodel/birdlike call which you may not even be able
to call a bark. You will remember the sound when you hear it.
She is a little shy at times, not pushy. She needs a good hearted owner
to help her feel confident and express her personality. She is gentle. She seems
to perk up and may enjoy having a friendly, confident doggy companion.
She shows interest when she sees other dogs. She goes her own way when
they are not interested in getting to know her, turning away (with sadness?).
The volunteers who have worked with Marcie and fosters who have hosted
her all wish her well. Describe her as SWEET, endearing. She quickly works
her way into your heart by her quiet presence. She shows affection by pressing
against you, and doggy kisses. Responded quietly to nearby passing cats. Needs a home without children under 12y.
HOBBIES:
* Rolling in the grass, sunning herself, positioning for a belly rub
* Strolling around the house, staring deeply into your eyes
* Curling up like a little deer, tucked perfectly , takes up very little physical space
Likes chew toys and treats.
She is HOUSEBROKEN, CRATE TRAINED, and easy to be around. Rides
well in a car, but likes to be lifted in. Not destructive in house with furniture.
Not jumpy, mouthy or barkey.Not a counter surfer. Hasn't been interested in
climbing on the furniture. Loves shoes & spare blankets. She assembles them
and keeps them near her, Likes to "taste" your shoes.
AVAILABLE to LONGTERM FOSTER or Adopt.
Marcie deserves a GREAT HOME & OWNER. I believe she will be an
EASY dog to do either with. Some command training may help.Slow intros to
dogs & cats. N0 dog can be expected to like an get along with every dog, and
shouldn't be held to that standard.
