Lucy is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl who loves being close to her people. She enjoys cuddling, relaxing by your feet, and following you from room to room, but she’s also able to settle on her own and nap peacefully nearby.
She has wonderful house manners. She sleeps through the night, is not destructive when left alone, and quickly learned her potty routine. She is smart, eager to please, and responds well to calm, consistent guidance.
Lucy has a playful, silly side and enjoys carrying and tossing her toys around. She also loves spending time in the yard and is happy with a balance of playtime and long naps.
She is very friendly with people and has been gentle with everyone she’s met while in foster care. She has calmly walked past children on outings without any issues. Before arriving at the shelter, she lived with a mother and her daughter (around 12–13 years old), and they spoke very positively about her.
With other dogs, Lucy does best with slow, thoughtful introductions. She can be a little unsure at first and has shown some resource guarding around things like water or personal space, so proper introductions and supervision are recommended. She has not yet been introduced to puppies, cats, or other small animals while in foster care.
Lucy is a calm companion who would love a home where she can be included in everyday life. She has a loving heart, enjoys being near her people, and is ready to find a family that will give her the patience and love she deserves.
