Meet Amos, a 6-year-old, 58-pound lap dog at heart who has perfected the art of the low-key, cozy lifestyle.
Amos came to us as a stray, overcoming illness and starvation with resilience and grace. Now fully recovered, healthy, and thriving, his gentle, loving spirit shines through in everything he does. Having experienced life on the streets, Amos has officially declared himself a dedicated homebody—he truly appreciates the comfort of a warm house and is looking for a quiet, peaceful home where he can simply relax by your side.
Why Amos is the Ultimate Chill Companion:
World-Class Cuddled: Amos is 58 pounds of pure affection. He loves nothing more than curling up right in your lap for snuggle sessions. Bonus: His fawn coat is extra soft, so petting him is basically therapeutic.
Easygoing & Self-Sufficient: Inside the house, Amos is wonderfully calm. While you work or tackle things around the house, he is content entertaining himself quietly without causing trouble—he is non-destructive even when left out of his crate.
Flawless House Manners: He is fully house-trained, crate-trained (and exceptionally quiet in his crate), and an easy, respectful houseguest.
Great Car Rider: Amos is a peaceful car rider who calmly watches the world pass by from the back seat.
Low-Maintenance Exercise: Amos is happy with just a couple of brief, leisurely neighborhood walks each day to stretch his legs before returning to his favorite spot on the couch.
Eager to Learn: He is food-motivated, knows "sit," and has a goofy side—including catching treats mid-air! He loves learning new things through positive, reward-based training.
Ideal Home Environment:
Because of his background as a stray, Amos will shine in a low-traffic, quiet home where he can feel safe and secure.
People: Amos experiences a bit of "stranger danger" and takes time to warm up to new people. He will thrive with an understanding adopter who lets him meet visitors at his own pace.
Pets & Kids: Amos has not been tested around other pets or children, yet.
If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate homebody to share peaceful evenings, relaxed weekends, and plenty of couch cuddles, Amos is ready to settle right into your home and heart!
