Stellaluna the Fruit Bat is a gorgeous female German Shepherd who hasn't had the easiest life and is learning to trust the world. She spent the first 6 years of her life in a backyard with very little socialization with humans or other dogs. She becomes attached very quickly to her primary person and has so much love and silliness to share, but she is still fear reactive to new people, animals, mysterious trash cans that weren't on the street yesterday, etc.
Fruit Bat is enrolled in a 4-week training program to work on her socialization and fears. Although she will not be available for adoption until after she completes her training program, you are welcome to contact her foster to inquire about her training progress and learn more about her!
Once Fruit Bat (also known as Fruity B, Fruity Toots, Bat Girl, FB) trusts you, she loves you with her whole heart. She loves to snuggle in bed, watch you eat dinner, and play fetch with her squeaky toys. She is a silly and affectionate girl who loves belly rubs and playing hide and seek. She would do best with a shepherd experienced owner. Stay tuned for more notes on her potential compatibility with other animals.
