Kanga is a gentle, laid back sweetheart who is looking for her forever home! She is such a calm, easygoing dog and has been an absolute joy to have. She is gentle with people and does well with other dogs. At the shelter, she was described as social and friendly in playgroup, and we have found that she enjoys being around other dogs while also being perfectly happy doing her own thing.

Kanga walks beautifully on a leash and loves going on walks, but she doesn't seem to need a ton of exercise. She is the perfect size and is truly a couch potato at heart! She loves lounging on the couch and will happily spend the day relaxing. When we are out at coffee shops or walking around with friends, she is incredibly well behaved. She is quiet, calm, and will happily lay down and sprawl out while we visit.

One of our favorite things about Kanga is how well she settles in. We can leave her alone for a couple of hours and she simply stays on the couch. She doesn't get into anything or destroy things (although she has figured out that bags of treats within reach are fair game!). She is completely potty trained and can comfortably go for long periods of time. She also sleeps quietly through the entire night and doesn't get up until we do in the morning!

Kanga loves to cuddle, but she also understands personal space. She is happy to be right beside you when you want some cuddles, but she is equally content to lay on her own and give you space. She has a gentle play style with people and knows how to be playful while also knowing when it's time to settle down. She is very gentle with her mouth, knows how to sit, and is not aggressive with her toys. She even leaves her plushies intact!

She does great in the car and loves sticking her head out the window. She is not a picky eater and doesn't shed too much, which is another nice bonus! She is also a very quiet dog, even with normal apartment noises. She is generally just a very easy dog to have around and would be a great fit!

Kanga's favorite thing seems to be simply having a home and being with her people. Her tail starts wagging when she sees you, and it is so sweet to watch her realize that she is safe and loved outside of the shelter. She would do well with someone looking for a calm companion, whether that's a family, couple, or individual.
