Manny is a 2-year-old dog in need of placement and continued medical care due to a persistent happy tail injury that has not healed despite treatment. Happy tail occurs when a dog repeatedly injures the end of their tail by wagging it against hard surfaces, leading to ongoing wounds that can be difficult to heal. Despite this medical challenge, Manny remains a friendly, happy dog who enjoys people and is eager for a chance to recover in a stable environment. He deserves the opportunity to receive the care and support needed to help his tail heal and prevent further injury. Manny is looking for a rescue partner, foster, or adopter who can provide the care and patience necessary during his recovery. With appropriate treatment and management, he has the potential to move past this issue and enjoy a comfortable, active life. This animal is at risk for euthanasia due to his medical needs. If you are interested in helping Manny, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information and his name in the subject line so we can contact you.
