Gunther is a sweet, affectionate 2-year-old boy who spent two months in a foster home, where he proved to be a friendly, snuggly companion. He can take a little time to fully settle in, but once he’s comfortable, expect plenty of cuddles and kisses. He’s friendly with new people too, and every so often his goofy side takes over and the zoomies make an appearance!

Gunther has a great balance of activity and downtime. He loves walks and was happily going on two-mile walks twice a day with his foster. He also enjoys chew toys, will chase a ball a few times, and is very treat motivated. At home, he’s potty trained, crate trained, and just as happy to settle in for one of his favorite activities: a good nap.

Gunther lived successfully with indoor cats and has also done well with dogs one-on-one, though group settings may be a little much for him. He may be happiest as the only dog or with a carefully matched canine companion. A quieter home where he can enjoy walks, naps, cuddles, and plenty of one-on-one time with his people would be a great fit.
