Chedar is a male cat who is FIV-positive and is currently experiencing a poor appetite, low body condition score, depression, and persistent diarrhea that has not responded to treatment. Despite receiving supportive and medical care, Chedar’s condition has not improved as hoped. His ongoing symptoms and poor body condition are concerning and indicate that he needs further diagnostic evaluation and a higher level of medical care than we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Chedar is in need of a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive continued veterinary evaluation, diagnostics, supportive care, and treatment to determine the underlying cause of his persistent gastrointestinal symptoms and help improve his appetite, strength, and overall quality of life. His FIV-positive status also makes close monitoring and individualized care especially important.
