Oreo is a male dog who is currently lame on his left hind limb (LH) due to an old injury consistent with an avulsion fracture. His ongoing lameness indicates that he will require further veterinary evaluation and continued orthopedic care to determine the best course of treatment and help improve his comfort and mobility. The specialized diagnostic, orthopedic, and rehabilitation care he may require exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.

Despite his condition, Oreo remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Oreo needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt veterinary and orthopedic evaluation, appropriate treatment, and ongoing care for his old injury. With proper medical attention and rehabilitation, he may have an opportunity to improve his comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life.
