Moose is the perfect mix of a laid-back cuddle bug and a goofy, playful pup. He’s generally a pretty chill guy who loves lounging around and being close to his people, but he definitely has his moments of high energy and silliness.

He’s incredibly affectionate, loves meeting new people and other dogs, and is curious about just about everything. One of the cutest things about Moose is how excited he gets when he spots someone on a walk. His tail starts wagging, then his entire body joins in, and he even scrunches up his nose in excitement at the possibility of making a new friend and getting some pets. He’s pretty good on the leash, although he’s convinced every interesting smell needs to be investigated and every person or dog deserves a hello. He’s also very food-motivated, so treats are an easy way to win him over!

Moose has some pretty funny habits, too. He loves rolling around in the grass, and apparently rolling down hills is his idea of a good time. He’s also a big fan of lying completely upside down, sprawled out with his head in your lap, just soaking up all the attention. Personal space isn’t really his thing when it comes to cuddles. He’s a little weirdo in the best way and will randomly do something that makes you laugh.

When Moose first came into foster care, he was pretty nervous about unfamiliar things, including elevators and stairs. Fast-forward a couple of weeks, and he’s gained so much confidence! It’s been really fun watching him come out of his shell and seeing more of his personality every day.

At home, he’s a great balance of calm and playful. He loves cuddling, hanging out with his people, and occasionally getting the zoomies. And somehow, his foster hasn’t heard him bark a single time since bringing him home!

Moose really is such a sweet, funny, easygoing dog. He’s made so much progress in a short amount of time, and he’d make a great companion for someone looking for a loving dog with a little bit of a goofy side.

All he needs now is a furever home to call his own!
