Meet Blanket! Blanket is a timid pup who can feel nervous when meeting new people and may need some extra time and patience to feel comfortable. He tends to keep to himself and is still learning that new interactions can be a positive experience. Treats may help encourage him at his own pace, but he appreciates having space and the opportunity to approach when he feels ready. With a gentle approach, patience, and understanding, Blanket will need someone willing to let him build trust at his own speed.
Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.
If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
