Sammie is just one year old, and she needs our support as she begins what will be a weeks-long healing journey. This sweet girl has suffered a laceration to her foot that requires ongoing veterinary care, frequent bandage changes, and close monitoring to ensure that her wound heals properly. Healing takes time, patience, and proper care, and Sammie will need all three. We want to give Sammie every opportunity to heal properly. That means making sure her injury receives the attention it needs throughout the healing process, not just at the beginning. The next few weeks will be important, and continued care is essential to helping her get back on her feet.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. If you are interested in adopting, fostering or rescuing this dog, email dasadopt@dallas.gov. When emailing, please leave a callback number.
