I am a spayed female, brown and white Pit Bull Terrier.
Age: I am an adult animal
More Info: I am available for adoption now!
Roxy is ready to be your go everywhere companion! This girl is super social and loves people. She wants to go everywhere with you. She has been a great shop dog in my workspace. She is eager to help. She loves her toys and will occupy herself for quite a while with one. She loves playing with her foster brother (dog), they wrestle, play tug of war with toys, and just run around the yard. She lives with two older cats, and she is quite respectful of them. She's curious and likes to check them out, but that's about it. She is potty trained, knows sit, down, and has incredible recall. Her leash skills are good when on her harness. She gets really excited when meeting other dogs and is working on managing her enthusiasm. She is doing well with crate training, and is even starting to spend some time in there when I am home. She is learning it's her safe space. She sleeps in my bed, with my resident dog, and sometimes a cat too. She is a world class cuddler. She likes to be under the covers and wants to spoon. She is the perfect combo of playful and couch potato. She takes cues well for what it's time for. Roxy is estimated to be 3 years old and 50 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, and have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet!
