This gorgeous Border Collie is Annie, a sensitive soul who is discovering that the world is a pretty wonderful place. She is learning to play, choosing toys from the toybox, enjoying outings and becoming more confident every day. Her favorite place in the world is curled up as close as possible to her person on the couch. She is 6 years old and 34#. Easy to live with and unassuming, Annie isn’t looking for a busy life. Her ideal home is with a patient, kind family that will give her a calm, predictable home. When she feels safe, she shines as the amazing companion she was always meant to be. When Annie loves you, she gives you her whole heart. She is delightfully smart, eager to do the right thing, and beginning to work on basic commands. She has been around dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels: she has great dog skills. Kitties are a-ok, and older, respectful children are too. Annie is house-trained, crate trained (trustworthy loose in the house) and lives for daily walks. Annie will thrive with a family who understands that sensitive dogs need a little extra time to feel safe. Her best fit is a quiet rural or suburban home rather than a noisy, busy city or apartment. She asks for a fenced yard or a family that can keep her safe on leash. She’s the ideal companion for people that enjoys time at home, being together as a family. She must have a friendly canine sibling in her new home to show her the ropes and provide steady companionship. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
