Hi, I'm Janie!
I'm about 2 years old, and while my story started out a little rough, I'm hoping the next chapter is the best one yet. I was found out on my own as a stray, but now I'm safe and waiting for a family to give me the forever home I've been dreaming about.
If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely love people. Being close to my favorite humans is my happy place. Whether we're going for a car ride, sharing a pup cup, working on training, or just relaxing together, I'm happiest when I'm by your side. I love being brushed, soaking up affection, and leaning in close for pets. Honestly, I never seem to get tired of being loved on!
I'm still a young girl with lots of enthusiasm, so sometimes I get a little jumpy or mouthy when I'm excited. I don't mean any harm—I'm just having fun and haven't quite learned all my manners yet. With some guidance, consistency, and patience, I'm sure I'll blossom into an incredible companion. I already enjoy training and would love a family that can help me keep learning and growing. I find agility activities pretty fun too!
I have made great progress here in dog playgroup; I started out pretty sassy (and I still am...) but I have learned more about how to talk to other dogs, how to not be the boss ALL the time...and I have made many friends here. I am not sure I want to live in a home with other dogs, but if the other dog had just the right kind of personality...who knows! When I start to feel big emotions in the play yard and the other dogs are testing my mama-dog patience, I go and lounge in the pool to cool off and mediate.
Life in the shelter has been hard on me. The noise and stress are starting to wear me down, and lately I've been feeling pretty sad. I'm having trouble eating, and it's becoming harder to keep my spirits up while I wait. More than anything, I just want a place where I can relax, feel safe, and know that I belong. A forever home would mean the world to me, but even a foster home could help me decompress and remind me what it feels like to be loved.
If you've been looking for a sweet, affectionate best friend who will stick by your side through life's adventures, I hope you'll come meet me. I can't wait to find the person who's been waiting for me too.

If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.

- Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella)
- Heartworm Tested
- Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer)
- Spaying or Neutering
- 24-Petwatch Microchip
Adoption fee: $135.00
Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $11.30. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$9.30)
