I am an animal with special needs and may require additional care, training and/or attention. I'm looking for a rescue group to be transferred to, and I may or may not be available for adoption at this time. You may call 925-608-8400 to speak to our staff, or you can submit an Adoption Application for a Transfer Preferred Dog and somebody will call you soon to discuss my medical and/or behavioral needs and whether or not I am available for adoption, usually within 72 hours. You must include an Animal ID#. Due to our limited staffing, your patience is appreciated.

Rex is a people-loving, treat-motivated pup who enjoys showing off his skills. He knows commands like sit and even adds flair with a charming “pretty sit” on his hind legs often flashing a smile while doing it. Rex walks well on leash and thrives with time outside his kennel, especially on short, sniffy walks to burn off energy. Though strong, he’s gentle, has a soft mouth, and makes excellent eye contact. He prefers keeping some distance from other dogs and isn’t a fan of water, but give him a tasty treat and a little space, and he’s all in.
