Tank, also known as Tanky Tank and Mr. Wonderful, is a 5-year-old, 73-pound gentle giant who’s looking for a special person to call his own. This handsome boy is well-mannered, obedient, and knows all the basics – sit, down, and come – plus, he is very gentle. Tank walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent potty habits, and loves human companionship above all else.
Tank’s ideal home would be as a solo companion because he’s an attention hog and wants all your love to himself! While Tank has participated in playgroups at the shelter and lived with another dog in his previous foster home, he can be selective when meeting new canine companions. We recommend a solo pet household or a required meet-and-greet with any potential new housemates to ensure everyone gets along prior to adoption and/or foster.
Tank absolutely adores his human friends! He’s gone on hikes to the park with and without other dogs and has been a calm, easy-going walker every time. Though if he had his way, he’d love to chase a squirrel!
Tank has a low-to-medium energy level and loves the simple things in life—belly rubs, walks, and spending quality time with his people. He’s an affectionate and obedient dog who will happily sit by your side and be your most loyal friend.
