The staff at the OHS call me a Socialite. Did you know that a Socialite's absolute favourite thing is hanging out with their people? They love being at the centre of attention and are excited to meet almost anyone. Socialites enjoy activities like joining in on family outings and going for leisurely walks, playing games like tug and fetch, and participating in training games! And while they might enjoy the occasional run or hike, they are usually content to stick around the neighbourhood. Most Socialites enjoy finishing off a day by settling down with a chew toy or puzzle feeder while you relax for the evening. So, if you like the company of a dog that will adore you and want to be involved in all of your activities, you'll have lots of fun with a Socialite!

I have displayed a fearful response towards unfamiliar people on walks and when entering my home. The extent of this behaviour has been barking, growling, and on a couple of occasions, lunging. It is recomended that my new adopters are comfortable working through my fear reactivity.

I don't always appreciate unfamiliar dogs in my personal space and I'm not ready to make friends with every dog I meet. I need slow, gradual introductions when making new friends.

I have three legs!

I am looking for a home with no kids.

I have narrow ear canals that will need to be monitored in my new home.

I have allergies that will need to be monitored by a vet. I am currently on a prescription diet with prescription medications for this.

I have chronic otitis externa.

I have a malocclussion.

If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application at https://ottawahumane.ca/adopt/adoption-application/. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.
