Weight: I weigh approximately 32.00 lbs.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 25, 2025.

Starfire (A561171)
Starfire immediately catches your eye as you enter the placement room at the shelter. She is tiny, beautiful and attentive. She is easy to leash up and walks well on the leash. She’s not very jumpy and only very lightly mouthy once we get outside and start playing. The light mouthiness is easily redirect able and she shows me that she knows “sit” “wait” and “come” cues on command. Starfire loves to get pets and attention and will happily roll over on her back for belly rubs with a loose body and plenty of wiggles. She will also grab a toy and bring it to you to play with as well as toss the toy up in the air to play with on her own. Starfire has attended shelter playgroup in the “Gentle and Dainty” group, which is classified by @dogsplayingforlife as a group for dogs who prefer quiet, low-energy interactions that are often polite and respectful. Starfire’s playgroup notes say that she is:“steerable ,tolerant, social, playful get along with big an small dogs”.
Starfire would make a lovely addition to many homes, but I could particularly see her doing well in a home with another dog to play with, based on her playgroup notes and/or with older children who would enjoy playing with her.
Starfire is a pure delight!
She was quiet in her kennel sitting with her little feet together, her head cocked an ankle, and her whole cuteness asking to go outside!
Once outside we toured the yard and quietly watched the maintenance crew cut the lawn and not a peep from Starfire. She certainly is composed!
Starfire is a happy girl with a sweet disposition who loves people and leash walking, and sunshine.
At just 32 pounds Starfire can fit into any size family situation. And at just 1 years
Old, Starfire has many happy years ahead of her. Please come and met Starfire - you’ll be glad you did!
