Meet Dior, 3 years old, 39 lbs., a quietly lovely girl who is eager to please and easy to love. There is something in her eyes that draws you in and makes you want to know her better, but Dior is not quite ready to share her whole story with a stranger. She is the kind of girl who wants to build a relationship before fully letting her guard down.
Dior responds eagerly to sit, paw, and down in exchange for treats. She often offers her paw without being asked and will gently nudge your hand for more treats. She responded immediately to a gentle "ah ah" when redirected. Though, I cannot blame her. She would benefit from slowly adding a few extra pounds with high quality food, which will also help her flaky skin and thin coat. A caring home that helps her feel her best will make a world of difference.
She walks well on leash. She showed little interest in a ball, but squeaky toys caught her attention. In the gentle and dainty playgroup, she was described as steerable, semi engaged, and content to keep to herself.
There is so much more to discover about Dior, and her true personality will bloom once she has the comfort and consistency of a loving home.
Our time together was calm and very enjoyable. She does not seem like a dog who will ask for much, but she deserves all the love and attention in the world.
