Queso (A565478): is a 3yo, 73lb, unaltered male, tan and white terrier mix.
Queso is a handsome boy with a likely history of some basic training and social skills. He’s easy to leash up in his kennel and pulls a lot on the leash once we head outside, but relieves himself quickly and then settles into a more moderate leash walk. He does seem like he may have had some previous house training and might only need a refresher once he gets to his future adopted home. Queso said a quick hello to Nella through the fence of the run and expressed some interest in her but moved on after just a brief sniff. After I brought him to the big run in the field and Nella came to visit him, he seemed more interested in a prolonged hello and had many wags and sniffs for her.
Queso enjoyed playing with toys in the big run and was not overly jumpy and not at all mouthy with me. He knows “sit” and “wait” cues and will happily show both of those off as well as “paw” in exchange for treats. Queso is a big boy and would do well in a family who can commit to giving him several walks a day. He isn’t super high energy but he does still have the moderate energy level needs of a young athletic dog and I could see him thriving in a family that wanted to go on adventures and hikes together regularly.
Queso is reserved for adopters residing outside of Prince George's County.
