Weight: I weigh approximately 49.80 lbs.

Raymond needs a quiet place to exhale. ??
Raymond is not doing well at the shelter. He’s having a difficult time adjusting to the noise, activity, and stress of kennel life. Despite medication for a URI and five feedings a day, it’s clear that the shelter environment is taking a toll on him. He’s losing weight and beginning to shut down.
After being blasted to rescues in early August, we wanted to give Raymond a break from the shelter, so we took him on a Dog Day Out.
And maybe it wasn’t the most exciting Dog Day Out you’ll ever see. We took Raymond somewhere quiet.
We found a secluded trail at Watkins Regional Park, and Raymond was wonderful. He walked calmly, never pulled, and wasn’t bothered by different surfaces, including bridges. Squirrels made his ears perk up but nothing more. Not today at least.
He rode quietly in the car, too. At first, he laid down, but as the ride continued, he began sitting up and looking out the windows.
At Pet Supplies Plus, Raymond calmly wandered around and greeted employees before tolerating his bath like a champ.
Back at the shelter, Raymond curled up on his bed and napped. We actually had to wake him up for his chicken and rice meal.
A quiet afternoon seemed to suit Raymond.
Now he needs a home where he can have that same sense of calm. A patient person, a peaceful environment, and time to decompress could make all the difference for this sweet boy.
Raymond needs out now. We hope he can be in a home this week.
