Bio: Max is a sweet senior gentleman who ended up in the shelter when his former owner could no longer care for him. This very good boy loves people and is dreaming of a retirement home where he can enjoy all of the good things in life- a family who will give him an endless supply of love, a limited (but generous) supply of treats, and a warm bed to sleep in at night. His list is short but sweet; could you make his dream a reality?
A volunteer who recently met Max shared the following:
“Max was friendly and easy to leash up in his kennel and walk over to a play yard this morning. He is OBVIOUSLY a devoted, affectionate senior guy! He went potty right away and then explored the yard a little bit, continually checked in with me for snuggles and treats. He is a wonderful boy, who is deserving of an equally wonderful home!”
Max’s former owner said that he was good with young children and small dogs, was house trained, and was well- behaved when left alone at home. They described him as an affectionate, playful, friendly Velcro dog who loves toys.
Max shares his kennel politely with another older gentleman and in playgroup has been an easygoing boy who likes doing his own thing. He hopes to meet any potential doggy roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit.
If you (like us) think that puppies are overrated and you would rather spend your time loving on a mellow senior, Max is ready to meet you and go home today!
