Bio: Xena: Warrior Princess is a cult classic tv show from the late 90s and early 2000s, featuring Lucy Lawless as Xena, an infamous warrior looking to be redeemed for her past sins against the innocent by using her formidable fighting skills to aid those who are defenseless. Xena is strong and fierce, and showed that strength is beautiful! We happen to have a stunning beauty named Zena here in the shelter. She’s known for her courage and soft heart, much like the Warrior Princess! Here’s what her volunteer friends have said:

“Zena is a gorgeous and darling girl! I met her for the first time when she was already in a play yard. I entered and she came up to me and jumped onto my lap to say hello! I pet her for a couple of minutes and then we went out for a walk. She loves to explore and smell all of the smells. She's a strong girl and eager to check out her surroundings. A family walked by us and she was curious about them, but not reactive. She has the cutest perky ears with flippy-floppy tips!”

“Zena won the most improved award because in two short weeks, she went from a scared dog to a complete sweetheart! She was wagging her tail with a relaxed body in the kennel this week. Easy to leash and a great walker. She opened up a lot in the yard and was roughhousing with her kennelmate. What a good girl Zena!”

Zena has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’ll benefit from a patient family who will give her time to decompress from shelter life. While Zena can’t promise to save you from any pillaging enemies, she does promise to excitedly join you on your adventures, whether they are the couch variety or out in the world! Ask to meet Zena today!
