Bio: Huxley is a 100% certified honey-baked ham of a dog! This boy is hilarious! Volunteers can’t get enough of his antics and snuggles, sharing:
“I took Huxley out to a play yard this morning and he spent some time in the pool, some time on my lap, and ran around with his kennelmate. At one point he was walking and slipped in some water; he fell onto his side, slid across the ground, right into me! He then just stayed there, as he was in the perfect position for belly rubs! He shared affection with me and his kennelmate and he had me laughing the whole time we were together! He’s a super affectionate and goofy boy!”
“Oh my goodness, Huxley is the biggest sweetie pie snuggle baby that I have hung out with in a very long time! He was bouncy but easy to leash in his kennel. I brought him and his kennelmate over to a play yard and the entire time Huxley wanted to be touching me! Snuggles, kisses, on my lap, head under my arm; he wanted as much of his body to be touching mine as possible! If I would stop petting him, he would jump into my lap and give me big kisses to let me know he was not done. Wow, this boy is amazing! Big lover and very good boy!”
“Huxley was such a sweet dog to take out! He waited patiently to be leashed and did not pull or bark at other dogs when leaving the kennels. He was very friendly and immediately wanted attention and cuddles before continuing our walk. He was interested in other dogs and people on our walk but did not pull me. He was receptive to correction and is treat motivated. Such a sweet boy to spend time with!”
Huxley spent three weeks in one foster home, where he did well with a teenager, was calm with other dogs, was mostly house trained, liked squeaky toys, loved the dog park, was super cuddly, and liked car rides.
In another short-term foster home, Huxley was reportedly good with young kids and was house and crate trained. He was described as an affectionate, playful, Velcro dog who likes car rides, loves to play tug of war and is the biggest cuddler ever!
Huxley has shared his kennel politely with several different dogs and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like meet any potential future furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit.
If you love snuggles and laughs as much as we do, come meet very good boy Huxley today!
