Bio: In the 1998 classic rom-com “You’ve Got Mail,” Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) gives Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) daisies when he hears that she’s sick, dropping a hint that he’s actually her as-yet anonymous online love interest. Kathleen told him online that she thinks daisies are the “friendliest flower.” We happen to think that our beauty Daisy is one of the friendliest, and prettiest, flowers in the bouquet!
Daisy was surrendered to the shelter when her former family could no longer keep her, but they had great things to share. In her former home she was good with young children, big dogs and even cats! She was a playful, affectionate girl who loved toys and was house-trained.
Daisy’s volunteer friends adore her, with one sharing:
“Daisy is a bright-eyed brindle girl who is friendly and easy to leash up. I took her to a play yard today; once in the play yard she ran around with her kennelmate for a little bit before coming over to me for hugs! She play-bowed to me a couple of times and would playfully come near and then run off. When I sat on the ground she came over to me for lots of snuggles and kisses. She can be shy when first meeting new people, but when she knows that you are safe and trustworthy, she will give you her whole heart!”
Daisy shares her kennel politely and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’s looking for a future home with no small dogs, please.
