Bio: Artemisia is the name of a large genus of plants that includes sagebrush, which was traditionally used for medicine, fuel and even as a primitive form of toilet paper. Our Artemesia strongly objects to that last use but does offer something else- companionship!! This girl is as friendly as they come, loves people, and would love to be your adventure buddy in life!

Here’s what volunteers at the shelter have said:

“Artemesia is an energetic, athletic girl. She enjoyed zooming around the yard and chasing tennis balls. She’s very playful and wiggly, came over for affection and even tolerated brushing.”

“Artemesia has always been great when I have walked her! This most recent time she was very excited to leave her kennel but settled once in the park. She will sit for treats and likes to get attention.”

“Artemesia is a sweet girl who I think will thrive outside of the shelter. Each time I pass her kennel, she’s looking expectantly out as if asking “is it my turn??” She’s always thrilled to go for a walk or some play time in a yard and is a friendly, fun and athletic girl. Someone will be very lucky to adopt her!”

This smart, high-energy girl will thrive in a home where she can get plenty of mental and physical exercise. She’s very treat- motivated, which will make training that much easier! Artemesia would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet her today!
