Bio: In the 1960s sitcom “I Love Lucy”, the title character was always getting into hijinks. Her husband would reliably respond by saying “Lucy, you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do!” Our gorgeous boy Ricky also thinks someone’s got some “’splainin’ to do” as to why he hasn’t been adopted yet! He is a stunning boy who came into the shelter very fearful, but who is coming out of his shell and can't wait to get into a home with a patient family who will let him decompress and gain confidence. Volunteers at the shelter are cheering him on, saying the following:
“Ricky is walking so much better and I’m so proud him! Yesterday he walked beautifully from his kennel to one of the yards. He had so much fun playing with his kennelmate in the yard!”
“I had a nice slow walk with Ricky. We made our way to a grassy area and sat down for a nice long time, where he enjoyed lots of pets. He walked back very nicely to his kennel.”
Ricky shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He enjoys playing with his kennel mate and would like to meet any resident pups before going home to ensure a good fit.
At eight years old, Ricky is a tender senior who should be enjoying his retirement years in a secure and loving home, not the shelter! We have seen firsthand how, with a bit of patience and kindness, he will warm up and show what a loving pup he truly is. Come meet him today!
