Bio: Certain unique people (and more dogs) greet each day as though it’s the best day ever- an opportunity for a fresh start, exciting opportunities, and chances for fun and love.
Jammy is definitely one of these super optimistic pups- he loves life, people, and can’t wait to see what each day holds!

Jammy spent about a week in a foster home- he was a quiet houseguest, loved playing with squeaky toys, and was crate trained. His foster said that he is a very nice boy!

In another home of two months Jammy did well with other dogs his size and was reportedly both house and crate trained. His people described him as affectionate and playful and said that he likes car rides, loves toys, and likes hiking.

“Jammy loves to cuddle and gives actual hugs. He knows how to behave and how to do every trick to be a good and steady member in a household, he just needs consistency to help solidify these habits. He is very quick to learn things.”

Here’s what volunteers at the shelter have said:

“Jammy is a great dog! He is easy to leash up and is very treat motivated. He knows sit and shake and likes getting pets.”

“Jammy is full of life, with lots and lots of energy. He immediately knew his “sit” command and with a little work, he got his “down” command solid. He then decided that if I was willing to give out belly rubs… he was willing to take them! Frankly, he loves full body rubs. He’s super super affectionate. This guy is loaded with the love of life.”

“I decided to take Jammy to a play yard today. There were several tennis balls there so I tossed one, which he chased before deciding to explore the yard. He alternated his time in the yard between sniffing pretty much every inch of it and coming back to me for petting. He intently watched other dogs out walking, but was not reactive.”

Jammy also headed out on a day trip and was described as trusting, adventurous and curious:

“Jammy loves to be outdoors in new places. He gets excited and wants to play with other dogs, comes when called, and tucks under your arm for comfort. He is cautious of new people but not afraid. He loves to be pet, is happy to cuddle after a long day, and will accept any attention.”

Jammy has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup; he’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re looking for a new adventure buddy, your search is over! Jammy would love to take you out exploring today!
